Taiwan Sold To China?

Sometimes, cartoonists are very funny and good in their drawings…

Have a look on this one (today Taipei Times cartoon):

Do I need to mention the secret channel(s) between Taiwan and China? News are full of that… Even the former NSC Secretary confirming it… According the news…

So maybe, just maybe, this cartoon express more than any stuff…

For my foreign friends, Ma is the President (…) of Taiwan.

If of course, it’s true 😉

How to Handle Stress: The Secret

Prepare yourself for this beautiful journey I am offering to you.

I know, you need it. I can feel it! You are stressed!

Don’t worry. Here is the secret way to get rid of it.

Are you ready?

Read and digest slowly each sentence, until the end.

Picture yourself near a stream.

Birds are softly chirping in the crisp, cool mountain air.

Nothing can bother you here.

No one knows this secret place.

You are in total seclusion from that place called "the world."

The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

The water is clear.

You can easily make out the face of the person whose head you’re holding under the water.

There now……feeling better?

Police: New Positions Are Available!

Asia is amazing.

When it comes to maintaining law and order, this is one police officer who can sort the men out from the… er, monkeys.

Dressed in a police shirt and riding atop a patrol vehicle in southern Thailand, this pig-tailed macaque has been recruited by police in their mission to improve relations with the community.

But be careful, it could shout on you:

It also looks very serious when it is working:

It seems that it is now the time for a break:

And guess, yes, it drinks too:

Of course, as a policeman, it is not supposed to drink alcohol… Of course… Hum Hum…

Some bad people will say that they are not surprised at all, a lot being already acting as monkeys in the streets…

Is it a new trend?

I will let you know if I see a monkey next time I am going to Seven Eleven in Taiwan…

My dear male readers.

Yes, all of us, we need a dictionary to understand our female companion.

I succeeded to get a copy of the most ancient dictionary, which was never published, and written by a very old philosopher more than 1,000 years ago.

I risked my life to give it to you.

For your own profit. It’s OK, don’t thank me 🙂

Because my mission is to help my brothers, here it is:

* Yes = No.

* No = Yes

* Maybe = No

* I’m sorry = You’ll be sorry.

* We need = I want

* It’s your decision = My correct decision should be obvious by now

* Do what you want = You’ll pay for this later

* We need to talk = I need to complain

* Sure go ahead = I don’t want you to

* I’m not upset = Of course I’m upset, you moron

* This kitchen is so inconvenient = I want a new house

China: Are Live Being Mutating? Or… Worst…

Recently creatures were found, thought to be extinct or being really new species.

We also all heard about stories concerning animals or human beings with malformations caused for example by pollution (see in ex-USSR after Chernobyl).

So to which category this one is belonging?

Villagers in Suining, Sichuan, have caught two creatures that the People’s Daily has labeled "the Chinese Chupacabra."

According the original post (HERE and relayed HERE):

In this case, the gray colored animal wasn’t attacking goats as the legendary “Chupacabra” (black words are mine), but chickens and it was the fowls’ cries that alerted village Ke Suying to find the mystery predator tearing into his birds. He tried to drive it away with a stick but failed, though later with the help of neighbors caught it in a steel net.

It resembles a large rat or a mutant mix of kangaroo and dog, with large claws. It is about 60 centimeters long, with a 30-centimeter tail. Villagers describe it as "quite fierce" and said it ravenously consumes both meat and vegetables fed to it.

According some Chinese officials of the Forestry Department (but what do they know… ;-)  ) it is a badger.

I had a look on the different kind of badgers (a lot of different species) on Wiki and obviously it is not a badger.

So, what is it?

A kind of Terminator sent by some crazy aliens to kill the poor and sweet Chinese  comrade hens and comrade roosters? 🙂

The pet of the X-Men?

A secret weapon from Taiwan?

People, don’t let your children playing around after the sunset…

More seriously, nobody seems to know what is it.

But I guess a new kind of restaurant will be very hot if more samples are found in China.

Do not they use to say that “if it has 4 legs and it is moving, we can eat it”?

Taiwan: Can We Call It A Selective Memory?

Frankly speaking, we can say that the EasyCard is a real success.

A local success (Taipei and its area), but a success and its functions number are increasing.

By the way, if you did not know who was the mayor of Taipei when the card was launched, I suppose that the blank is filled since yesterday.

A conference was hold to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the introduction of the EasyCard. And guess who participated? No idea? Have a look on the picture:

You recognized him: the former mayor of Taipei and the actual president (?) of Taiwan, M. Ma.

By the way, the Makong Gondola is reopening tomorrow after many months of wondering, explained by many by  bad and poor construction and conception.

Did you see any picture of M. Ma?

Did you see any news, comments or pictures of M. Ma about the Neihu MRT line?

Let’s stop the list here.

So, M. Ma remembered he was the mayor of Taipei to celebrate the EasyCard’s success, but he does not for the rest of his “achievements”?

I am just wondering… Can we call that a selective memory?
