Taiwan: Justice (Again)

People from outside of Taiwan and Taiwanese could not miss, according their comments and complains, the direction taken by the judiciary since the KMT came back to power.

The former party in charge became according the news and facts,  the target of a vendetta with the help of the judiciary.

See for example the former president.

Normally, you are supposed to be guilty when undisputable evidence is brought by the accusation. To be indicted (accused) is not enough to prove you are guilty.

He is in jail since more than 6 months and he will stay longer since prosecutors indicted him for new charges.

To show one example of the facts that it seems clear that politics and justice are linked:

According today news, here is the comment of one member of the party in charge:

[…]

Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Legislator Lee Ching-hua (李慶華), however, said the court should continue to detain Chen because he might try to steal the thunder of DPP Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) during the party’s planned rally on May 17 if he were released.

[…]

So, according this legislator, the former president must stay in jail because the rally planned in roughly one week.

So, that is not political justice?
