The French actress, Marion Cotillard won the Best Actress Oscar for her work in “La Vie en Rose” (La môme).
It is the first time since Simone Signoret in 1960 that a French actress receives the highest award, especially for a French speaking movie.
Earlier, she also won a Golden Globe, a Cesar and a Bafta for her performance in the same movie.
